Authorities examine 3 women’s deaths in Puerto Vallarta

Police in puerto vallarta are investigating whether three women found dead over 11 days were linked, after the latest body was discovered Thursday morning on a dirt road in the Parque Las Palmas neighborhood. The cases have drawn attention because investigators found the women in isolated areas with similar characteristics.

The three victims were believed to be between 30 and 35 years old, and each had tattoos. None had been officially identified. Social media posts suggested the latest victim might be Elizabeth Martínez, 22, from Estado de México, who was reported missing in April.

May 10 and Mismaloya

The first female victim was found on May 10 near Rancho El Piruli in Chimborazo. Five days later, a second woman’s body was found beside the road on the way to Mismaloya. The latest body was found Thursday morning in Parque Las Palmas, extending the span of the deaths to 11 days.

The similarities led investigators to examine whether the killings followed a pattern and whether one suspect was responsible. That step now shapes the work in Puerto Vallarta, where police are trying to determine whether the three deaths form a single case or separate attacks.

Elizabeth Martínez and Estado de México

The Comisión de Búsqueda de Personas Desaparecidas del Estado de México said Martínez’s tattoos matched some of those found on the victim. Authorities in Jalisco had not officially confirmed the identity of the latest victim.

Family members of the missing woman were reported to be traveling to Puerto Vallarta on Friday to try to confirm whether the victim was part of their family. For residents and visitors, the immediate issue is whether investigators can identify the women and establish if the deaths are connected before the case fragments into separate investigations.
