Bobby Bones wants his Dancing With the Stars Mirrorball trophy back after reconciling with tom bergeron. The radio host and season 27 winner said it would be nice to get the trophy returned after mailing it to ABC in November 2025, a feud that started with Bergeron’s reaction to Bones’s 2018 win.

Bones told Us Weekly, “It’d be nice if I could get my Dancing With the Stars trophy back.” He also said, “I do not know where the trophy is,” and asked anyone who has it to “please mail it back to me.”

Bergeron’s remark sparked the split

The dispute began after Bergeron told Parade he was “shocked” by Bones’s victory. Bones said in a TikTok video that he found the comment “hurtful,” and later added, “I didn’t even wanna be on the show.” That turned a reality-show win into a personal break, with Bones mailing his Mirrorball trophy back to ABC in November 2025.

Bergeron apologized to Bones during a March appearance on his podcast, saying, “I felt terrible that the way I phrased my honest surprise at your win.” Bones later said, “I got my feelings hurt.”

Bones was on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast when he noticed Bergeron had DMed him, and Bergeron later appeared on Bones’s podcast. Bones said the first thing he asked was, “Hey, man, why do you hate me now?” After that exchange, he said he and Bergeron “talked it out and are great again.”

The practical result is simple: the feud is over, but the trophy is still out of his hands. Bones now wants the Mirrorball back in his possession, and he has put the request in public rather than leaving it as a private side note from a long-finished season 27 win with Sharna Burgess.
