Callum Crowe Hospitalised After Crosby Incident at TT Qualifying

callum crowe and Ryan Crowe were taken to hospital after an incident at Crosby during the third qualifying session on May 27, 2026. Both men were conscious and talking before they were moved by ambulance to Noble’s Hospital for further assessment.

That development interrupted a session that had already seen the brothers set the pace in the sidecar class. They topped the shortened opening 2026 qualifying session, then went fastest again in Qualifying 2 on Wednesday afternoon with a best lap of 118.468mph.

Ryan was driving with Callum in the passenger seat when the incident happened at Crosby. The pair were competing on LCR Honda machinery and had come into the meeting as the four-time Isle of Man TT Sidecar race winners.

Their 2026 package had been redesigned over the winter with a development programme in conjunction with Lumbley Engineering. Even before the Crosby incident, the numbers had pointed to another strong run: the brothers had won the last four Sidecar TT races and had set an all-time lap record of 121.021mph last year.

Qualifying day at TT

Wednesday’s qualifying had already been disrupted before the Crowes’ incident. The opening session was limited to a single lap after an incident involving Maria Costello MBE and Shaun Parker at Brandish.

Costello was transferred to Aintree for further treatment for a head injury. Parker was conscious and talking and was receiving treatment for chest, leg, arm and facial injuries.

Noble’s Hospital assessment

The Crowes’ move to Noble’s Hospital leaves the sidecar field waiting for the next medical update on two riders who arrived at the TT carrying heavy form and a chance to draw level with family history. Ryan and Callum were one win away from matching their father, Nick Crowe, who recorded five victories between 2005 and 2008.

A separate incident also occurred during the Sidecar session at Doran’s Bend, with no information yet released on those involved.
