Paulina Porizkova says four-day eviction hits before Italy wedding

paulina porizkova says she and Jeff Greenstein are being evicted from her apartment four days before they get married in Italy. She said the home has been hers for six years, and the couple say the move leaves them with nowhere set once they return.

Twenty Good Summers

Porizkova said the landlord would not grant an extension, even after she “begged and pleaded” for more time. During an episode of their podcast, Twenty Good Summers, she said, “We are both over 60, and we are starting again,” and described the apartment as a place “that has kept me safe, and where I've sort of grown up to be a woman, I feel.”

She added, “And so we have to move out of here four days before we get married in Italy. Not great. Not great. And we also come back from our wedding, and we have nowhere to live.” Greenstein put the problem more bluntly: “This is not how we would have drawn it up. Getting kicked out of this apartment four days before the wedding and coming back to nothing in New York is not what we planned.”

New York And Los Angeles

The pair said they are not starting from zero in every sense. Porizkova said she co-owns a country house with her sons Jonathan and Oliver, while Greenstein said they still have his house in Los Angeles for the time being, though it is in the process of being sold. That leaves the apartment move as an immediate housing problem, not a long-range one.

The timing is what makes this a tighter squeeze than a normal lease ending. The wedding is set for Italy, the move-out lands four days before it, and the return trip opens onto a housing gap in New York at the same moment the couple is beginning married life. Porizkova, who split from Cars singer Ric Ocasek in 2018 after nearly thirty years of marriage, got engaged to Greenstein in July 2025 and is now dealing with the least romantic part of that transition first.
