Participants can enter for £100 with no fundraising required, or pay a £25 registration fee and commit to raising a minimum of £100. The timing lands the abseil the day before Father’s Day, which gives the club a built-in selling point for supporters looking for an experience rather than a standard gift. It also arrives before the West Stand redevelopment begins, making the event a final public link to a part of Elland Road that is due to change.

Leeds United Foundation Funding

The Foundation said the money raised is key to supporting its work across Leeds and beyond. Its programmes focus on education, sport and healthier lifestyles, using football and Leeds United as the platform for that work.

The incentive for the top fundraiser is a squad-signed Leeds United shirt. The runner-up will receive a pair of tickets to a home game next season, adding a competitive edge to the fundraising push without changing the main purpose of the day.
