Hawks Field Returns to Regional Play
The regional runs from May 29 through June 1, 2026, and gives Nebraska another chance to use the home field it protected all season. The Huskers finished 23-1 at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park, set a ballpark record with a.958 winning percentage in home games, and posted 463-184-1 in 648 all-time games at the park.
Nebraska’s home form is not the only edge on the page. The Huskers and Jackrabbits have met 23 times, with Nebraska leading 19-4, and Nebraska beat South Dakota State 5-4 in a midweek game on March 4.
Nebraska’s Regional Run
This weekend is Nebraska’s 20th NCAA Regional appearance and its seventh time hosting a Lincoln Regional. The Huskers have gone 13-6 across their previous six home regionals, advanced to the regional final six times, and reached the Super Regional in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2005.
Nebraska reached 40 wins for the 19th time in program history with a sweep of Minnesota in Minneapolis to end the regular season, then finished 41-14 overall. That finish also extended the school’s run to eight NCAA Regional trips in the last 12 seasons, including 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2024, 2025 and 2026.
