Ufc Roster Cuts Daniel Marcos After 5-1 UFC Run

Daniel Marcos is out in ufc roster cuts daniel marcos after the bantamweight was removed from the UFC roster with three other fighters. He leaves after going 5-1 with one no-contest in the promotion, a run that included a November rear-naked choke finish of Miles Johns.

Daniel Marcos in November

Marcos last fought in November, when he tapped out Miles Johns with a rear-naked choke. That win followed UFC victories over Adrian Yanez, John Castañeda and Davey Grant, and it left him with only one defeat in his first seven UFC fights.

The loss came by decision to Montel Jackson in May 2025. Across his UFC work, Marcos went 5-1 with one no-contest and carried an 18-1 career record with one no-contest when he was taken off the roster.

Lando Vannata and Vince Morales

Marcos was one of four names removed. Lando Vannata, Jamie Mullarkey and Vince Morales were also cut, giving the move a wider reach than a single bantamweight release.

Vannata had been with the UFC since 2016, when he stepped in on short notice to face Tony Ferguson, but he won only four of 14 octagon appearances. Morales returned to the UFC in 2024 after winning five in a row since his 2022 departure, then went winless in four decisions against Colby Thicknesse, Raul Rosas Jr., Elijah Smith and Taylor Lapilus.

Jamie Mullarkey in January

Mullarkey last fought in January, when he lost to Quillan Salkilld. His removal, alongside Marcos, Vannata and Morales, leaves four fighters off the roster at once.

For Marcos, the cut ends a stretch that looked secure on paper: three UFC wins, a November finish, and just one loss in his first six octagon appearances before the Jackson defeat. For the other three, the roster move tracks with recent results that had already narrowed their margins inside the promotion.
