Harvey Harrison Returns After 671 Days for Bulldogs Vs Collingwood
Collingwood has named four inclusions for bulldogs vs collingwood at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night, with Harvey Harrison set for his AFL return after 671 days away from senior level. The changes also bring back Tim Membrey, Angus Anderson and Wil Parker as the Magpies reshuffle for Round 12.
Harrison Back After ACL Layoff
Harrison’s absence stretches back to Round 20, 2024, when he injured his ACL in Collingwood’s VFL match. Drafted at pick 52 in the 2021 National Draft, the forward-midfielder played 12 AFL games in 2024 and kicked 11 goals, including two bags of three against Fremantle and Melbourne.
He has built back through the VFL this season, playing seven matches in 2026. In Round 5, he posted 21 disposals and 12 tackles against Essendon, the sort of form that put him back in the selection mix before Saturday night’s meeting with the Western Bulldogs.
Membrey, Anderson, Parker Return
Membrey is also back after a hamstring injury sustained in Round 7’s win over Essendon, and he returned through the VFL last week. Anderson returns after being omitted from last week’s AFL side, while Parker comes back after collecting 22 disposals in the VFL loss to Werribee.
Those inclusions arrive alongside a short injury list that strips experience from the line-up. Jamie Elliott will miss with a knee injury, captain Darcy Moore is out with a hamstring injury, and Will Hayes will miss because of a shoulder injury.
McRae’s Round 12 Calls
Charlie West has been omitted, while Buller and Sam Swadling will serve as the emergencies for Saturday night. Senior coach Craig McRae addressed the media ahead of the Round 12 clash, but the selection call itself is the clearest sign of where Collingwood’s focus sits: getting Harrison back into the AFL side and reworking the forward mix around him.
At Marvel Stadium, that leaves Collingwood with four fresh options and three senior omissions to manage against the Western Bulldogs. For Harrison, the return ends a 671-day wait for senior football; for the Magpies, it is a selection shift built around fitness, form and the ability to cover absences in one match.
