Ballers Forever and Pele Masters Sweep Saint Lucia Masters Football Titles

Ballers Forever and Pele Masters won the two titles at the 2026 Saint Lucia International Masters Football Invitational, with both U.S. teams taking the finals on May 25 at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground. The masters football event ran for six days, from May 20 to May 25, and ended with American sides lifting both trophies.

Ballers Forever took the Over-40 division after beating Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force Past Players in a match that turned on penalties and a late finish. Stern John scored first for Trinidad & Tobago Defence Force Past Players, but Kendel Jagdeosingh equalised from the spot 11 minutes into the second half before Ballers Forever won it with another penalty eight minutes before the end.

Jagdeosingh’s role carried beyond the final scoreline. He was named the Over-40 MVP, adding individual recognition to a title run that also included 2-1 wins over SSC Bimshire and Hope International of St Vincent & the Grenadines on the way to the final.

The Over-50 title followed a different path, but it finished the same way for the United States. Pele Masters beat Dennery United FC 5-1 to reach the final, while Masters Reloaded advanced 3-2 after Earl Jean’s hat-trick carried them past Canada’s La Familia.

That final also drew protest, with the American side alleging Masters Reloaded was fielding an unregistered player. Pele Masters still handled the pressure, and Basil Burke scored in the second half to secure the trophy. Kendall Velox was named Over-50 MVP, and Trevor Isaac took the best goalkeeper award.

Alvin Malaykhan, the Veterans in Sport CEO, said the tournament brought together football legends from across the region and internationally over six unforgettable days. He added: “Your energy, discipline, sportsmanship and support helped create an atmosphere that once again showcased the true spirit of Masters football and Caribbean unity.”

He also said: “This tournament continues to evolve into one of the Caribbean’s premier Masters football and sports tourism experiences, and it is all possible because of you.”

For the teams that arrived in Saint Lucia from outside the island, the final day left one clear result: both titles went to the United States, and both individual MVP awards went with them.
