Arsenal Choose Red for Psg Jersey in 2026 Final
Arsenal will wear its red psg jersey in Saturday’s Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain in Budapest. It is the club’s first final in this competition in which it will use its home kit.
The choice settles a kit question that had been open because PSG’s strip contains some red. Arsenal had been placed on the blue path in February, but it will still take the away-team role in the 2026 final despite topping the league-phase table.
Budapest Final Set
Arsenal reached Budapest by beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 on aggregate in the semi-final. The final against PSG gives the club its second-ever appearance in the competition’s showpiece game, and this time the red shirt stays in the bag.
That is a different outcome from 2005-06, when Arsenal had to switch from its redcurrant Nike shirt to a yellow change kit for the final in Paris because of a clash with Barcelona. That match ended 2-1 to Barcelona after Arsenal went down to ten men inside the opening 20 minutes.
Arsenal Home Kit Choice
This season’s red home kit will be used instead of the new adidas home kit released earlier in the month. PSG will wear this season’s home kit as the home side, leaving Arsenal’s own colors in place for a final that had looked headed toward a kit switch.
The blue-path draw in February had pointed Arsenal toward the away side of the bracket, and if Bayern Munich had reached the final, Arsenal would have had to wear its blue kit. Instead, the route ended with PSG in Budapest and red on Arsenal’s side of the pitch.
PSG Strip Red Detail
PSG’s strip contains some red, which is what made the Arsenal choice worth watching before the final. With the kit decision settled, Arsenal heads into Saturday knowing exactly what it will wear for only its second Champions League final.
