Jasmine Roth Rushes Darla to ER After 7 Stitches
jasmine roth said her daughter Darla was rushed to the ER after falling off a couch and hitting a coffee table, leaving a head wound that needed 7 stitches. Roth said it was Darla’s first emergency room visit, and the family left the hospital able to take her home to rest and play.
Darla’s first ER visit
Roth said Darla had a 1/2" indentation where her eyebrow was supposed to be, and that the injury happened while she was home alone with both daughters. Hazel was screaming because she was scared too, which left Roth juggling one child in pain and another frightened at the same time.
“Today was a rough one. Darla had her first ER visit and it was a LOT,” Roth wrote in an Instagram Story after the accident. She added, “She fell off the couch and hit the coffee table just right so she had a 1/2" indentation where her eyebrow was supposed to be.”
Seven stitches, then sedation
Roth said Darla was able to go home after treatment, and that once the sedation wore off, it was almost like it didn’t happen for her. “Darla is ok, but it took 7 stitches to close her back up. She was such a trooper. I’m going to put our coffee table in storage until the kids are in college,” she wrote.
That same post also carried the family strain in plain terms. “You guys, I’ve never seen anything like this. I was so scared for her. Hazel was screaming because she was scared too but we had to act fast. Poor baby cried but was so brave,” Roth said, before adding, “Just a reminder that being a parent isn’t about all the pressure we put on ourselves to make everything perfect. It’s about keeping them as safe as possible and being there for them when something goes wrong.”
Pregnancy scare in Salt Lake
Roth said the accident landed in the middle of her pregnancy with her third child, which added another layer to the day. Doctors at one hospital were not able to find the baby’s heartbeat at first, but at OB Emergency in Salt Lake, doctors immediately found a heartbeat and did a quick ultrasound.
“They weren’t able to find it either, which again wasn’t a major concern because that’s not their specialty,” Roth wrote of the first stop. She later said, “They immediately found a heartbeat and even did a quick ultrasound to show the baby basically doing gymnastics and I couldn’t feel a thing.”
For parents reading this as a practical note, Roth’s update points to the part that matters most: Darla was treated, sent home, and described as okay. The day was chaotic, but the outcome was a quick discharge, a clean follow-up on the pregnancy, and a reminder that a fast trip to the ER can turn a scary fall into a manageable one.
