Nestlé Australia recalls Allen's iNSiDE OUTS 130g nationwide

Nestlé Australia recalled allen's iNSiDE OUTS 130g nationwide on Tuesday night after potential plastic fragments were detected in some packs. Shoppers who bought the lollies have been told to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The affected packs are marked 30/JUN/2027, and customers were told to check the batch numbers on the product before eating it. Food Standards Australia New Zealand said not to eat the product because “plastic may cause illness orinjury if consumed”.

The recall covers a product sold nationally through Coles, Woolworths, independent retailers including IGA, convenience stores and petrol stations. Nestlé Australia said consumers can contact the company on 1800 152 126 for more information.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand also advised customers concerned about their health to seek medical advice. The recall reaches far beyond one store chain, so shoppers who picked up the candy at a supermarket, corner store or petrol station all need to check the date marking before opening a pack.

Product checks for shoppers

The practical step for buyers is straightforward: look for Allen's iNSiDE OUTS 130g with the 30/JUN/2027 marking and the listed batch numbers, then take any affected pack back for a refund. That applies whether the purchase was made at a major supermarket or through an independent retailer.

The reason for the recall is a possible foreign matter issue in some packs, and the concern is not limited to one sales channel. For shoppers, the next move is to separate the recalled lollies from any other Allen's products and follow the return instructions before eating them.
