Starbucks Announces One-Weekend Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino Return
Starbucks said the starbucks unicorn frappuccino return will bring the drink back to U.S. coffeehouses for one weekend this summer. The company did not announce the exact date, but said the grand return date will come later.
The limited run gives customers a short window to find the drink in stores again. Starbucks first put the Unicorn Frappuccino on menus in 2017, and the supply disappeared faster than expected.
Starbucks Menu Plans
Starbucks said the drink is part of a summer lineup that is already starting to roll out. The company said summer menu items are available now, and its Blue Coconut menu will launch on June 16 for a limited time.
The Unicorn Frappuccino comeback follows a teaser earlier in 2026. Starbucks also served the drink exclusively at Coachella Music Festival in Indio, Calif., in April 2026, giving fans another brief chance to try it before the wider U.S. return.
2017 Launch And 2026 Return
The drink first hit menus in 2017 and was originally supposed to be available for a few weeks. Starbucks described it as more tropical than magical, and people who have tried it say it delivers a tangy yet sweet flavor.
Its ingredients include mango syrup, sour blue drizzle, vanilla whipped cream, sweet pink powder and sour blue powder. That mix has helped make the drink recognizable even after long gaps between appearances.
One Weekend In Summer
For customers, the practical takeaway is simple: the Unicorn Frappuccino is coming back, but only for one weekend, and only after Starbucks sets the date. The limited supply that vanished quickly in 2017 gives the new rollout a narrow sales window across U.S. coffeehouses.
Anyone hoping to try it again will need to watch for the later date announcement and act fast once Starbucks opens the return period.
