The arena is on the White House South Lawn and was built for a series of fights on Trump’s birthday and Flag Day. It is visible from the White House North Lawn. Construction began during the week of May 20, when White House arrivals and departures by Marine One from the South Lawn were closed to the press.

June 14 UFC Freedom Fights 250

The event is called UFC Freedom Fights 250 and will feature a lightweight title matchup between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. The card includes one lightweight title matchup and four other fights. The June 14 show is among events planned to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding.

South Lawn Use

The South Lawn is a routine presidential staging area for Marine One arrivals and departures, and it also hosts the White House Easter Egg Roll and the annual Congressional Picnic. The annual Congressional Picnic was held there in May, placing the UFC build in a space normally reserved for recurring presidential and public events.
