Samraj Love Island links villa entry to Jazzy B family tie
samraj love island contestant Samraj Toor is joining the 13th series when it launches on Monday 1 June 2026, and the 25-year-old model has added a family link that will pull extra attention into the villa. He revealed that his uncle is Punjabi singer Jazzy B, a name with reach well beyond the dating show audience.
London, Spain and Germany
Toor said he has spent time living in London, Spain and Germany because of his modelling career, and he is swapping Germany for Mallorca to enter the villa. That move puts a working model from Birmingham into one of ITV’s most watched formats at the exact moment a wider entertainment connection has surfaced.
“When I’m not modelling, I help out my family business. My dad’s got a restaurant,” Toor said, giving a clearer picture of the life he leaves behind for the show. He also described his father sending him to clean the coffee machine, tables and toilets, a reminder that the villa entry sits alongside a day-to-day job outside the industry circuit.
Jazzy B and Punjabi music
“My family is Indian, we’re Punjabi. He’s a Punjabi singer,” Toor said of Jazzy B, whose real name is Jaswinder Singh Bains. He added, “He’s quite well known, but not many people outside of the Indian community listen to Punjabi music. He’s quite well-known in the Indian music scene.”
Jazzy B moved from Punjab to Canada at a young age before launching his music career in the early 1990s, later becoming the first South Asian entertainer to receive a place on the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame Star Walk in Vancouver. He also has two million followers on Instagram, a scale that makes the family connection more than a novelty for a reality series launch.
Mallorca on 1 June
Toor said long-distance relationships are hard for him, which fits the format he is walking into on Monday 1 June 2026. His mother’s reaction cut the other way: “My mum said to me, ‘Do you have to kiss them? Couldn’t you not give them a hug or something?’”
He said, “They understand. They know what I’m going through. We’ve spoken about it in length. So I don’t think they’re too worried, but you know how parents are,” and added, “I feel fully supported by my parents, so I’m very grateful.” The practical read is simple: Toor enters the 13th series with family backing, a public-facing modelling career, and a music-industry link that gives viewers one more reason to track how he performs once the doors open in Mallorca.
