Nicolas Cage Superhero Series Tops No. 1 as Off Campus Reclaims Prime Video

Off Campus reclaimed No. 1 on Prime Video’s U.S. and Global Top 10 charts, pushing the nicolas cage superhero series Spider-Noir back down after a brief run at the top earlier this week. The reversal matters because Spider-Noir had only just arrived on May 27, while Off Campus had already been building momentum since hitting the service on May 13.

Off Campus beats Spider-Noir

Off Campus had already been named the platform’s most popular show for the week of May 25–31, which explains how it could recover quickly after sliding behind Spider-Noir. It is the stronger signal of the two launches: one title arrived late in the month and spiked fast, while the other proved it could hold attention across a longer window.

Spider-Noir did not fade quietly. The series reached No. 1 on both charts earlier this week and even bested The Boys and Citadel, a short-lived win that shows how quickly a new release can surge when the platform gives it a fresh audience.

Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly

Spider-Noir stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly and is set in 1930s New York, with the series available in either black-and-white or color. That setup gives Prime Video a distinctly different superhero entry, one built less like a standard comic-book release and more like a stylized period crime story.

The series is a darker, more mature take on the Spider-Man mythos, following a weary private investigator who is forced to confront his past as the city’s only masked hero once known as The Spider. Brendan Gleeson, Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, and Karen Rodriguez are also in the cast, but Cage remains the central draw attached to the launch.

Elle Kennedy’s Season 2

Off Campus is based on Elle Kennedy’s book series, where each book follows a new couple, and Amazon renewed it months before Season 1 was released. Season 2 will be based on the third book, The Score, which means the show already has another source-backed installment waiting if the audience keeps it near the top of the charts.

Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Mika Abdalla, and Stephen Kalyn anchor the cast, and the chart swing between the two titles leaves Prime Video with a useful read on demand: Spider-Noir can open strong, but Off Campus has already shown it can outlast the initial surge.
