Kushal Bhurtel Powers Nepal Past Malaysia in Hong Kong Vs Oman

Kushal Bhurtel struck 126 off 54 balls and Nepal rolled past Malaysia by 167 runs in hong kong vs oman qualifying on Thursday in Singapore. The win pushed Nepal to back-to-back victories and lifted it to the top of Group A.

Bhurtel Sets the Pace

Nepal posted 275 for 7 after losing the toss and being put into bat, then watched Malaysia finish on 108 for 9 in reply. Bhurtel’s innings included 14 fours and eight sixes, and it came after his 129 against China earlier in the tournament.

That made him the tenth batter in men’s T20 internationals to score centuries in consecutive innings. He also moved past Dipendra Singh Airee to become Nepal’s leading run-scorer in T20 internationals, with 2,240 runs in 78 matches against Airee’s 2,211 from 98 matches.

Aasif Sheikh Breaks It Open

Aasif Sheikh added 68 off 24 balls and put on 134 runs with Bhurtel inside nine overs, turning Nepal’s innings into a chase that Malaysia never recovered from. Syed Aziz made 54 off 45 balls for Malaysia, but the target was already out of reach by the time Nepal’s attack settled in.

Sher Malla took three wickets for 14 runs, and Malaysia were bowled out in 20 overs. Nepal’s margin was its second huge win in the campaign after beating China by 221 runs, a start that has already separated it from the rest of Group A.

Nepal’s Group A Position

Bhurtel’s three T20I centuries now include his unbeaten 104 against the Philippines at the 2022 Global World Cup Qualifier, adding another line to a rapidly growing record. For Nepal, the result leaves little room for anyone else in the group if the goal is the top spot.
