Wan'Dale Robinson Picks No. 4 to Honor Rondale Moore
Wan'Dale Robinson will wear No. 4 with the Titans, and he said the choice was made to honor rondale moore. The wide receiver moved into a new locker-room number this offseason after four seasons in No. 17 with New York, making the switch a personal one as he begins his Tennessee run.
Titans Number Shuffle
Robinson said on Thursday that he wanted a single-digit number and settled on 4 after weighing the options in Tennessee. Carnell Tate arrived with No. 17 at Ohio State and took No. 14 with the Titans, while Chimere Dike already had No. 17, leaving Robinson to leave his old number behind.
"I didn't want it," he said. "I was going in wanting a single digit, and then also my late friend, Rondale Moore, he wore No. 4." Robinson added, "So that was kind of the reasoning behind me getting that number."
Robinson And Moore
Robinson and Moore were Kentucky natives, and both reached the NFL as undersized receivers. They had been friends for years and once trained at a facility together in the Louisville area, giving the number choice a personal link beyond simple preference.
Robinson also said, "Just kind of to honor him and the time that he was here." Moore died in February from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and Robinson's decision gives his new Tennessee number a direct tie to that loss.
Tennessee Role
The move to Tennessee also puts Robinson in position to rejoin offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, after his first 1,000-yard campaign in 2025. He is set to be a playmaking slot weapon for Cam Ward, and the No. 4 change gives the Titans receiver room one more small storyline as the offseason reshapes the roster.
