P-Studio Says Hackers Stole Persona 6 Footage at Xbox Showcase

P-Studio said hackers stole early development footage from the next Persona title after leaked assets spread online, and the disclosure landed as xbox showcase chatter sharpened around the franchise’s next move. The studio says the work will continue as planned, a useful signal for players watching a series that is still being treated like a premium release pipeline rather than an open reveal cycle.

P-Studio On the Leak

P-Studio said, “We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third-party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Persona title.” The same statement added, “At this time, we do not anticipate any long-term effect on the development of our ongoing projects.” That language matters because it draws a line between the stolen materials and the wider slate now being managed under Sega and Atlus.

“We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way,” the studio said, before adding, “Our work on the next Persona game will continue as planned, and we remain as committed as ever to delivering an experience to you, our players, that truly exceeds your expectations.”

Chinese Forums and Rednote

The leaked material first surfaced on Chinese forums and on the country’s social media site Rednote, where it included promotional images, a list of names, and details on a potential new mascot. That sequence forced Sega, Atlus, and P-Studio to publicly address the breach after the assets circulated online, turning a private server intrusion into a franchise-wide problem in public view.

The practical takeaway for players is simple: P-Studio says the next Persona game is still moving forward, and the stolen material has not, in the studio’s view, knocked ongoing projects off course. The company also said, “We will update everyone again soon and, of course, will properly introduce you to this next game when it is ready.”

Persona 30th Anniversary Pressure

This year marks the 30th anniversary of Persona and the 10th anniversary of Persona 5, which keeps the next mainline entry under heavier attention than a routine sequel reveal would draw. Atlus is already celebrating 30 years of Persona, while a remake of Persona 4 is in development and the company has recently released Metaphor ReFantazio and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance.

That leaves the leak in an awkward place: the franchise is active, the pipeline is busy, and the next Persona title is still not formally revealed. For now, the studio’s answer is to keep building and control the reveal on its own terms, not on the schedule set by whoever pulled the files out first.
