Antonelli tops Monaco FP3 as Lewis Hamilton Ferrari F1 slips to P2

Kimi Antonelli set the pace in lewis hamilton ferrari f1 context by going quickest in Monaco final practice, posting a 1m 12.720s lap for Mercedes and beating both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. The result ended Ferrari’s run at the top before qualifying on Monaco’s narrow streets.

Antonelli Takes Monaco FP3

Antonelli built his benchmark on soft tyres and left the session with an advantage of more than three tenths over Leclerc. No one matched him after the red flag interruption, and the session restarted with only a few minutes left.

Leclerc had opened the session with the first meaningful target at 1m 15.184s. Hamilton then moved into the 1m 14s bracket and beat that time by seven tenths before Lando Norris briefly went to the top by 0.015s.

Ferrari Loses Track Position

Ferrari had been the reference earlier in the weekend, but Antonelli’s lap shut that down at the final chance to fine-tune the cars before qualifying. Leclerc was unable to improve because late brake trouble cut short his run.

Hamilton had gone out early with Leclerc, along with the Aston Martin drivers, Valtteri Bottas and Liam Lawson, and the opening runs showed Ferrari had speed before Antonelli’s final push. That sequence left the Italian driver with the fastest time of the weekend so far and pushed both Ferrari cars behind him on the timesheet.

Bearman Red Flag

Ollie Bearman brought out a red flag when he crashed his Haas at Massenet, scattering debris across the circuit. Franco Colapinto also spun at the hairpin and clipped the barrier with the rear of his Alpine, while Alex Albon took a short trip down the escape road at Sainte Devote.

The session resumed with a few minutes remaining, but nobody got close to Antonelli. That leaves Mercedes with the upper hand from final practice and Ferrari facing a sharper climb when qualifying starts on the same tight Monaco layout.
