Jordan sees Florida Weather stay dry for Central Florida weekend

Florida weather in Central Florida is set for a mostly sunny, mostly dry weekend, with rain chances next to nothing on Saturday and Sunday. Jordan, an AMS Certified Meteorologist, said the dry stretch continues after spectacular weather across the region in recent days.

Central Florida weekend forecast

Saturday and Sunday will be ruled by a mix of sun and clouds, with dry air in the mid-levels of the atmosphere keeping rain away. Dewpoints are on the lower side for June, and that will keep the air feeling less humid than usual for this time of year.

Lows will fall into the upper 60s to low 70s, while highs climb into the upper 80s over the weekend. For readers planning outdoor time, that means the best stretch for dry conditions is now, before the air starts to change again.

Jordan on rising heat

Jordan said heat and humidity will slowly creep back into Central Florida as the weekend progresses and into next week. Highs are expected to rebound into the 90s for Monday, ending the brief run of lower dewpoints and lighter humidity.

The change is not expected to last long. Jordan said rain chances will return to Central Florida by mid next week when another cold front slides down the state, bringing moisture for storms rather than a cooldown or a humidity change.

Mid next week front

That setup leaves the weekend as the clearest dry window in the forecast before storm chances return mid next week. Anyone with outdoor plans in Central Florida gets two dry days first, then a warmer, more humid pattern after that.
