Princess Charlene wears red at Monaco Grand Prix practice

Princess Charlene of Monaco attended a Formula 1 practice session in Monte-Carlo on Friday, wearing a sleeveless red midi dress and pointed-toe red pumps ahead of the Grand Prix of Monaco. Prince Albert II joined her for the outing.

Her dress had a plunging neckline, pleating throughout, a fitted bodice and a belt with a gold hardware embellishment. She also wore gold hoop earrings, and her short hair was longer than usual with a side part.

Monaco Grand Prix weekend

The Monaco Grand Prix runs from Friday through Sunday on the 3.337km street circuit in Monte Carlo. Practice sessions end on Friday, another practice session and qualifying race follow on Saturday, and the main race is set for Sunday.

Charlene has attended the event for nearly 15 years, and she wore Akris several times at the Monaco Grand Prix from 2018 through 2023 before choosing Louis Vuitton in 2024. Louis Vuitton is the title sponsor for the event for the first time.

For readers following the weekend, Friday's appearance marked the first public sign of the royal couple's presence at the circuit as the field moved into the rest of the race program. The schedule now turns to Saturday's practice and qualifying, with the street circuit's narrow layout leaving little room for recovery once cars return to track.
