Anne, Princess Royal present Peter Phillips, Harriet Sperling portraits after June wedding
Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling unveiled their first official portraits on Monday, and anne, princess royal was part of the family setting around the marriage. The images arrived just days after the couple’s June 6 wedding at All Saints Church in Gloucestershire, England.
The first portrait shows them at the church where they married. Sperling wore a lace-covered Emilia Wickstead gown, custom Jimmy Choo heels, a tiara, earrings and her engagement ring. Phillips wore a black suit with a light blue vest and striped pants.
Gatcombe Park reception
The second portrait places the couple in the conservatory at Gatcombe Park, the home of Princess Anne, where the reception was held. That detail ties the images to the private family setting that followed the public ceremony.
Phillips and Sperling were first spotted together at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024. They got engaged in August 2025, before the wedding that made these the first official public portraits of the pair as husband and wife.
Phillips family milestones
Phillips, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, previously married Autumn Kelly from 2008 to 2021, and they share two teenage daughters. He is the first of Queen Elizabeth’s eight grandchildren to remarry.
Sperling is a National Health Service nurse and shares a daughter with her ex-husband, fitness instructor Antonio St. John Sperling. The portraits now stand as the couple’s first formal public record after the June wedding, with the reception location and wedding-day clothing giving the clearest account of how the family marked it.
