Athapaththu’s innings gave Sri Lanka control from the moment Pakistan chose to bat first. She struck 94 off 58 balls and only fell to Fatima Sana at 159 runs in the 18th over, leaving Vishmi Gunaratne to finish the chase unbeaten on 63 off 50 balls.

Sri Lanka’s finish was simple and ruthless. Gunaratne stayed in, Harshitha Samarawickrama made 4 not out off 5 balls, and the target disappeared with 9 wickets in hand and 8 extras in the chase.

Pakistan Women Reach 168/8

Pakistan’s innings produced runs but not enough pressure. Fatima Sana top-scored with 37 off 26 balls, Muneeba Ali made 36 off 21, and Gull Feroza added 26 off 23 as the side reached 168/8 in 20 overs with 10 extras.

Chethana Vimukthi did the damage with the ball for Sri Lanka, taking 4 wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs. Fatima Sana was Pakistan’s only wicket-taker in the chase, finishing with 1/20 from 2 overs, but that lone breakthrough came too late to slow the result.
