Nintendo sets June 30 Splatoon Raiders Direct before July 23 launch
Nintendo has set a June 30 splatoon raiders Nintendo Direct and released a new gameplay trailer for the game ahead of its July 23 launch. The rollout gives the Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive spin-off a tighter promotion window, with daily comics, a July Splatfest and new Amiibo all tied to the run-up.
June 30 Direct
The June 30 presentation is the next scheduled spotlight on Splatoon Raiders, and it comes after Nintendo showed a new trailer during today's Nintendo Direct. That sequence gives the game a clear beat-by-beat campaign: teaser, gameplay reveal, then a dedicated showcase before launch.
Nintendo is using that Direct to keep the game in view while the calendar still has room for more information. For players deciding whether to buy in, that matters because the June 30 event sits only weeks before release and can sharpen expectations on how the game actually plays.
July 23 Switch 2 launch
July 23 is the release date, and Splatoon Raiders will arrive as a Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive PvE Splatoon spin-off. Nintendo says it is a single-player-focused experience, but up to three other players can join in online co-op.
The game uses third-person shooter gameplay and puts players in control of a customizable Inkling mechanic in the Spirhalite Islands. Deep Cut appears in the game, and the player group fights the villainous Salmonids, which gives the spin-off a story frame that is closer to an adventure mode than a standard competitive entry.

Nintendo is also stacking launch-period extras around the game. The Nintendo Today app will carry Splatoon story events leading up to Raiders with daily comics, a July Splatfest is on the way, and three new Amiibo versions of Shiver, Big Man and Frye will launch alongside the game.
That bundle makes the release feel planned rather than isolated. If you want the full picture before buying, June 30 is the date to watch; it should be the point where Nintendo spells out whether the trailer was the main reveal or just the first pass.
