Yves Bissouma Leaves Tottenham After 111 Appearances

yves bissouma will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer after the club said his contract is ending. The midfielder departs after 111 appearances for Spurs, closing a spell that began with a £30million move from Brighton in the summer of 2022.

Tottenham Hotspur and Bissouma

Tottenham wrote on X: "We can confirm the departure of Yves Bissouma following the conclusion of his contract." The club added: "Thank you for your service and all the best for the future, Biss."

Bissouma’s last season was broken up by injury. He missed the entire first half of the campaign, then made his first appearance on January 17 in a 2-1 defeat to West Ham.

January 17 and the final run

After that return, he made 11 appearances for Tottenham across the rest of the season. He was an unused substitute in Spurs’ final three Premier League matches, leaving his role reduced by the time the campaign ended.

That finish came after Tottenham avoided relegation from the Premier League on the final day of the campaign last month. Bissouma’s exit now removes one first-team midfielder from a squad that had already been under pressure across a difficult season.

Spurs summer departures

Bissouma is one of several exits in the same retained-list update. Tottenham also said 10 academy players will leave, including Pele Arganese-McDermott, Tyrell Ashcroft, Leo Black, Dante Cassanova, Matthew Craig and Calum Logan when their current deals end.

The club said four Under-18 players will also depart, while Elijah Upson rejected a contract offer. Jamel Beggs, Samal Bangura and Leon Myrtaj are also leaving, giving Spurs a broad summer clear-out that reaches beyond the senior side.
