Wu-Tang Clan Set for Knicks Halftime Show at Game Four

Wu-Tang Clan will handle the knicks halftime show at Game Four of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks lead the San Antonio Spurs two to one, and tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.

Madison Square Garden on Wednesday

The performance puts all eight members of Wu-Tang Clan inside the same building where they last played together in July. For a group in the middle of Wu-Tang: The Final Chamber, the appearance turns a playoff game into a rare live booking with built-in New York weight.

Method Man gives the Knicks angle another layer. He has performed solo at a Knicks game before, but the full group has never done one together, and that makes this slot more specific than a routine arena booking.

All eight members in one arena

The last time all eight members played Madison Square Garden, it was in July. That matters because the Garden now gets the group at a point when the farewell tour is already in motion, with the next North American leg set to begin in August and finish in Phoenix in October.

The group also has November circled for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Rolling Stone put the news bluntly: “The Knicks have at least one guaranteed slam dunk for Game Four of the NBA Finals: The Wu-Tang Clan will perform at the game, a source tells Rolling Stone.”

Method Man and Kevin Durant

Method Man’s Knicks ties run back to 2019, when he wore a jersey with Kevin Durant’s old number, 35, in a music video aimed at luring Durant away from the Golden State Warriors. Durant ended up signing with the Brooklyn Nets, which left the Knicks connection as theater rather than recruitment.

Cardi B performed at Game Three, and the list of faces around the series has also included Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, Jay-Z, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and President Trump. Wednesday’s halftime slot gives the Knicks another New York-centric moment, but the bigger point is simpler: the Garden is getting a full Wu-Tang reunion in the middle of an NBA Finals game, and that is the kind of booking the building can only sell once.
