Al-Shaqsy is already filming at the serial drama's studios in Leeds city centre and on location at the village set near Harewood House in West Yorkshire. The timing also follows recent changes on screen: Victoria Sugden and her son Harry have departed Emmerdale, while Robert Sugden remains in the village and has taken charge of the family's agricultural legacy. Serena’s arrival expands the family line at the same moment the show has narrowed it.
