Pokémon Go Showcase Tuesday Returns June 9 With Five Entries
Pokémon Go Showcase Tuesday was active on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. your local time. Trainers could enter up to five PokéStop Showcases during the window. The event also kept the feature set narrow, with only five categories drawn from a pool of 20.
June 9th, 2026 window
The timing mattered because the first Showcase Tuesday had run from 12 a.m. to 11:59 a.m. your local time before the schedule changed on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026. By June 9th, the format had shifted to a daytime-and-evening slot that gave players more practical hours to submit entries without racing the clock. That change made the event easier to fit around normal play.
Five PokéStop Showcases
Submitted Pokémon were judged by biggest size. The scoring used height, weight, and IVs, and height accounted for 80% of the calculation. That setup pushed trainers toward the largest Pokémon rather than the best battlers or the most rare species.
The other limit was volume. Trainers could enter five PokéStop Showcases during the event, so the day rewarded selective play instead of broad participation. A player who wanted to compete across multiple stops still had to choose where those five attempts went.
Five categories from twenty
During the Season of Memories in Motion, Daily Discoveries introduced different events and perks for each day of the week from Sunday through Friday. Showcase Tuesday replaced the Tuesday Spotlight Hour in that rotation, then continued into the Season of Forever Forward. The structure kept changing, but the weekly competition stayed tied to the same Tuesday slot.
The tighter pool also narrowed the field. During the Season of Forever Forward, only five categories from the 20-category pool were featured during a PokéStop Showcase Tuesday event. Based on the previous weeks of the event, there was a chance that five categories from the pool of 20 would be selected for the next week’s event on Tuesday, June 16th, 2026.
