Trump Calls for Jamie Raskin Removal After Expulsion Post
President Donald Trump called for Jamie Raskin to be removed from Congress in a social media post after the Maryland representative’s latest criticism of him. Trump tied the attack to Raskin’s work during his first term, when he said Raskin worked to impeach him.
Trump wrote that Raskin would “be trying to do it again,” and said Mark Levin had called for Congress to trigger the expulsion process. The post also revived Trump’s claim that Raskin would be in jail now if not for a Biden pardon.
Trump Post on Truth Social
Trump posted the remarks while replying to conservative commentator Mark Levin, who had said Congress should move to expel Raskin. In the same post, Trump called Raskin “a loser in life” and said he had “worked endlessly” during Trump’s first term to impeach him, “wasting the Country’s money, time, and effort.”
Trump also wrote: “Jamie Raskin, a loser in life, who worked endlessly during my First Term to impeach me, and failed miserably, wasting the Country’s money, time, and effort, will guaranteed [SIC] be trying to do it again, despite one of the most successful Presidencies in History,”
Raskin and Levin
Trump’s target is a member of Congress who has repeatedly opposed him. Raskin recently filed a bill to block Trump’s Anti-Weaponization fund, and Trump’s post came after Levin said Raskin was already leading a plot to impeach the president if Democrats take the House.
Levin said Raskin had led the prior two impeachments against Trump, pushed for his resignation in the past, objected to electoral college votes for Trump in the first election, and was involved with the January 6 Committee and efforts around the 14th Amendment.
June 10, 2026 Post
The clash also comes after Raskin posted on June 10, 2026, that he loved the inflation. He later wrote: “News flash, Mr. President! We appreciate your candor in admitting you “love inflation” and don’t think about other Americans’ “financial situation,” but we hate inflation and can’t stand your illegal tariffs, taxes and wars. We’re sick of your economy for oligarchs!
Trump’s call for removal raises the stakes of a feud that has already moved from messaging to institutional threats. With Levin pressing for expulsion and Trump accusing Raskin of conduct he says would have sent him to jail, the dispute now centers on whether House Republicans move beyond rhetoric.
