Jesse Arthars Targets 2027 Super League Move
jesse arthars is actively pursuing a move to Super League in 2027, and Catalans Dragons are among the clubs interested in him. The Brisbane Broncos outside back, 27, has a long runway before that switch, but the talks already point to a future beyond Brisbane.
Arthars and Catalans Dragons
Arthars is keen on pursuing talks with Catalans and joining their ranks for 2027, with the French club offering a long-term deal. Other clubs in England have also been made aware of his future, widening the field around a player who has spent most of his career in Brisbane after starting with the Gold Coast Titans.
He has built a strong enough case to draw that interest. Last year, Arthars scored 11 tries in 18 appearances as the Broncos won the NRL title, and this year he has already added five tries in nine games while being used at wing, centre and fullback.
Nick Cotric at Catalans
Catalans’ own roster situation adds a wrinkle to the chase. Nick Cotric is reportedly keen on securing a return to the NRL in 2027 after two seasons with the club, and he has one season left on his deal.
That leaves Catalans managing two futures at once. John Cartwright is on a short-term deal until the end of this season, while Cotric would need a release if he wants to leave Super League early and head for Australia in 2027.
Broncos winger's next step
Arthars’ path has already included a one-season stint with the Warriors in 2022, a return that fell through to the Titans, and a long stretch with Brisbane. The next move now sits beyond the current NRL season, with Catalans positioned as the clearest named suitor and England other teams already in the mix.
