Liverpool Lead Manchester United for Bazoumana Touré
Liverpool have formally registered interest in bazoumana touré and told Hoffenheim they want the winger. They are ahead of Manchester United in the chase, and the move sets up a summer battle around a 20-year-old who has already delivered five goals and 12 assists in the Bundesliga.
Liverpool and Manchester United
The English clubs are not alone. Aston Villa and Newcastle United are also watching Touré closely, while Brentford continue to show keen interest and Brighton have been linked as well. Liverpool’s step is the clearest one so far, and it puts pressure on the rest of the field to move before the asking price hardens.
Touré joined TSG Hoffenheim from Hammarby in the winter of 2025 and has turned that move into a strong first season in Germany. He made 30 Bundesliga appearances, scoring five goals and setting up 12 more, a return that has pushed his name into the center of a crowded market.
Hoffenheim’s price tag
Hoffenheim are asking for about €40-50million, a range that climbs to £43.1m or $57.9m. His contract runs until 2029 and he has no release clause, so any buyer will have to negotiate directly rather than wait for a shortcut.
That pricing sits inside a larger problem for the Bundesliga club. Hoffenheim failed to secure Champions League football, and a sale at the reported level would be a club-record departure. For Liverpool, the interest is already formal; for everyone else, the cost is now public enough to shape the race.
What happens next is simple enough for the market to read: clubs that want Touré will have to decide whether a 20-year-old winger with 30 Bundesliga appearances is worth paying near the top of Hoffenheim’s range. Liverpool have made the first move, and Manchester United are still chasing a player whose best season so far has already pulled in several Premier League suitors.
