Dominion Energy restored most of a dominion power outage in parts of Dorchester County by 8 p.m. Saturday, after thunderstorms sent crews to scattered outages in Summerville. Customers reported the interruptions in the evening, and service had already returned in parts of the county by then.

Fischer said crews responded to scattered power outages in Summerville following thunderstorms in the area. The outages were described as scattered rather than widespread, but they were serious enough to draw a crew response during the same Saturday evening period when customers first reported losing service.

Summerville Service Restored

By Saturday evening, Dominion Energy said service had been restored in parts of Dorchester County. The sequence matters for affected customers: reports came in, crews moved to Summerville, and the company later said most outages were back by 8 p.m.
