Arthur Blank Touts Fan-First Pricing at Mercedes Benz Stadium

At mercedes benz stadium, World Cup fans will face lower food and drink prices than at other major U.S. venues this summer. Arthur Blank’s fan-first concession scheme is one of the clearest price breaks in a tournament already defined by steep ticket, travel and hotel costs.

Blank’s Fan-First Model

Blank owns the Atlanta Stadium through AMB Sports and Entertainment, and he also owns the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta FC. The pricing approach follows the same "fan-first" idea that has shaped concessions at the building before, with venues free to set their own food and drink prices for World Cup matches.

That makes Atlanta an outlier. Supporters buying food at Mercedes-Benz Stadium this summer should spend less than fans at several other World Cup sites, where the numbers on menus have pushed upward fast.

MetLife And SoFi Prices

At MetLife Stadium, a combo meal with four chicken tenders, fries and a Coca-Cola costs $19 before New Jersey sales tax. A four-piece tender meal without a drink is $15, fries cost $8 and a hot dog is $8.50.

Drinks are just as steep there. A 16-ounce canned American beer costs $16, while a hard seltzer or canned cocktail costs $19. Water is $5.

SoFi Stadium is not far behind. Its priciest listed item is beef-loaded nachos at $19.75 before tax, and its cheapest meal is a bean and cheese burrito at $16.50. A premium American beer costs $18.50 before tax, and water is $5.25.

World Cup Price Spread

The comparison gets wider once other venues enter the picture. At AT&T Stadium, water costs $8.25, while at Wembley Stadium a three-piece chicken tender meal is £12.50 and at Villa Park it is £10.

For Atlanta, the practical takeaway is simple: the stadium’s concession bill should land lower than what fans will see at MetLife or SoFi, even before taxes and local add-ons at some venues. In a World Cup where costs outside the turnstiles are already high, Blank’s pricing puts Mercedes-Benz Stadium in a different lane from much of the field.
