Comcast Opens New Xfinity Store at 1556 W. Lane Road

Comcast is opening a new xfinity store at 1556 W. Lane Road in Machesney Park in the coming weeks. The location sits in the Gateway District and will add another place for residents to handle service questions in person.

The new store will join the existing Xfinity Store in Rockford at 6244 Mulford Village Drive. That gives customers a second local option for product demonstrations, mobile purchases, and business consultations without leaving the Rockford area.

The store will open at 1556 W. Lane Road. It will expand Comcast's retail presence in the Rockford area and give Machesney Park residents a closer counter for support, device shopping, and service walk-throughs.

Scott Wottle, Comcast's regional vice president of sales and marketing, said, "Opening a new Xfinity Store in Machesney Park allows us to deliver a more convenient, personalized experience to customers," and added, "From exploring the latest products to getting one-on-one support, this location is designed around the needs of the Machesney Park community."

Gigabit+ internet and mobile devices

Inside the store, customers can learn about Xfinity's Gigabit+ internet speeds and WiFi that covers the entire home. They can also explore Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile, then buy new mobile phones, devices, and accessories.

The store will also showcase the Xfinity X1 video platform and Xfinity Home Solutions. Business customers can discuss Comcast Business's suite of solutions with experts, which turns the visit into more than a standard retail stop.

What Machesney Park gets

Machesney Park Mayor Steve Johnson said, "The addition of an Xfinity Store strengthens our village's retail corridor and enhances the services available to our residents," and also said, "We appreciate Comcast's investment in our community and their commitment to providing convenient access to everyday products and services for our residents."

The store will be open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays. For customers who want face-to-face help, the practical next step is simple: use the new address instead of the Rockford location when the doors open.
