Mark Chapman finds new love after wife Sara died aged 44

mark chapman has begun a relationship with estate agent Clere Collier as he returns to present World Cup coverage over the next few weeks. The and Sky Sports presenter, 52, was widowed in June 2020 after Sara Chapman died at 44 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Chapman and Sara married in 2001 and had three children together. Collier was seen publicly marking his 51st birthday with a birthday tribute that read: "Happy birthday to this one. My one love."

Collier followed that message with another line that said: "So proud of all you do, the biggest heart, the kindest soul, the leader of our pack and not to mention devilishly handsome. I love you, happy 51." In 2024, it came to light that the pair had begun a relationship, and at the start of 2025 they were spotted sharing a romantic walk through the streets of Altrincham.

Collier is thought to be seven years younger than Chapman. The Sun reported that she previously worked at an agency in Hampstead in north London, has been considered a socialite, and has a circle of celebrity acquaintances that includes actors, singers and radio DJ Chris Moyles.

Sara Chapman's death

At the time of Sara Chapman's death, a source said: "Sadly Sara passed away on June 3. Mark and the kids are absolutely devastated. The family was there and it's just a really sad situation. They're an extremely private family and would appreciate people respecting that." Chapman has since returned to a public schedule that includes Match of the Day, where he shares hosting duties with Kelly Cates and Gabby Logan.

He was named as one of the three new Match of the Day hosts last year, and he also presents The Sports Agents podcast with Gabby Logan. The new relationship and his return to World Cup coverage place his private life back alongside a very public broadcast role, while the family loss that shaped the past five years remains part of the story.
