Paige Bueckers Listed Probable as Aces Host Wings — Azzi Fudd

Paige Bueckers is listed as probable for tonight’s game, and azzi fudd fits into a Dallas injury report that still has moving parts. The Wings travel to face the Las Vegas Aces with Bueckers’ ankle status now the biggest lineup note attached to the matchup.

Dallas already handled Las Vegas once, winning 95-87 in late May. That game turned after halftime, when the Wings outscored the Aces 50-34 and got 20-point outings from three players.

Bueckers has been playing through the ankle issue since June 11. She went down awkwardly after a rebound in the second quarter against the Phoenix Mercury, then returned after getting taped up and finished with a season-high 31 points in Dallas’s 85-70 win.

She missed the next game against the Portland Fire because of the same ankle. Jose Fernandez captured the balancing act after that game, saying, “It’s a long year …Paige wants to be on the floor tonight (against Portland), but the best thing for her longevity, for her career, for the franchise is her making sure we take care of her and she takes care of her body.”

Aces Injury Report

The Aces have their own health questions. Dana Evans is still coming back from a left leg injury and has not made her season debut, while Chennedy Carter is unavailable for tonight’s game.

That leaves both teams with key names on the board and one central item for Dallas: whether Bueckers can go after missing the Portland game. If she plays, the Wings bring back a guard who just scored 31 points in a win; if she does not, Dallas goes into a rematch with one of its sharpest scoring options still limited by the ankle.
