The most useful hook for viewers is not just Gunvalson’s return, but her attempt to reunite the Tres Amigas — herself, Tamra Judge, and Shannon Storms Beador — after she said she had been caught in the middle of two really good friends for a long time. Beador’s response to Emily Simpson, “I'm not gonna be dumb and go back,” suggests the friendship repair plot will move in fits, not in a straight line.
