Atlus Reveals Persona 4 Voice Cast With 2027 Revival Window
Atlus used this year’s Xbox Games Showcase to put persona 4 voice cast interest back on the calendar, and Persona 4 Revival is now slated for 2027. The timing matters because the trailer also showed Marie inside the game’s version of the Velvet Room, raising a real question about how much of Persona 4 Golden made it into the remake.

Marie never existed in the original version of Persona 4, but she became a key character in Persona 4 Golden. Her own social link became a requirement in that expanded edition, since maxing it out is needed to unlock the true ending path. Seeing her in the trailer is the strongest clue yet that Atlus is not treating this as a straight cutback to the original release.
The ratings point in the same direction. Persona 4 Revival received a CERO B rating in Japan and a Mature 17+ rating from ESRB in the US, giving the remake a wider age bracket than a softer family release would have suggested. For a game that already has a legacy through Persona 4 Golden, that combination keeps the conversation focused on content, not just nostalgia.

Persona 3 led to Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 turned into Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 resulted in Persona 5 Royal. That pattern is why the Marie shot drew attention immediately: Atlus has repeatedly used expanded final versions to shape the long tail of its biggest role-playing games, and the new remake now sits inside that same history.
The 2027 release window gives Atlus time to finish whatever version of Inaba it is building, but it also leaves players watching for one practical answer: whether Persona 4 Revival follows the Persona 4 Golden route or stops short of it. The trailer suggests the studio knows that distinction is part of the sale.
