Simone Biles Heads to Belize One Week After Hospitalization

Simone Biles was back in belize with Jonathan Owens just one week after a hospitalization tied to a health scare she has not yet discussed. On June 14, the 29-year-old Olympian said in an Instagram video that the couple was heading to the country she called her favorite vacation spot in the world.

"We are going to my favorite vacation spot in the whole entire world today, which is Belize" she said. Biles also said, "My mom and her whole entire family were born and raised in Belize, and so me and my siblings actually have dual citizenship."

June 6 Health Scare

The trip came after Biles posted on Instagram Stories on June 6 that "I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week." She also wrote, "This was one of, if not the scariest experience of my life," and added, "especially since Jonathan was in Indy for practices."

Biles said, "I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers. Loooovveeee y’all." When a fan asked when she would give an update, she replied: "Not ready to talk about it just yet."

By June 14, Biles and Owens had landed in Belize and were sharing vacation photos on Instagram Stories. Those posts showed Biles in a low cut red swimsuit and Owens on a fishing trip during the vacation.
