Jackson Chourio and Misiorowski Share NL Weekly Honors
Jackson Chourio and Jacob Misiorowski turned one strong week into a Brewers first on Monday. The pair were named co-NL Players of the Week, and Milwaukee became the first team since August 2024 to have teammates share the honor.
Chourio earned his first NL Player of the Week award after going 13-for-29 with five homers, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored across six games. He hit safely and drove in at least one run in every game during that stretch.
Chourio’s six-game surge
The week pushed Chourio deeper into an already productive season. Across 35 games, the Brewers outfielder is hitting.322/.370/.572 with nine homers, 11 doubles, 26 RBIs, 27 runs and five steals. He has produced 2.0 bWAR while helping Milwaukee keep its lineup moving even after missing the first month-plus of the season.
That makes the award a clean marker for how fast he has settled in. A player who was not available for the opening stretch is now driving games every night, and the production has come in a compact six-game span rather than a one-night spike.
Misiorowski’s Friday shutout
Misiorowski earned his second career Player of the Week award by dominating the Phillies on Friday night. He threw a complete game shutout, allowed one hit and no walks, and struck out 15 batters in 95 pitches.
The right-hander also piled up 58 pitches at 100-plus mph and faced the minimum after a fourth-inning double play. In 14 starts this year, he leads the majors with a 1.34 ERA, 131 strikeouts, a 1.69 FIP and a 0.736 WHIP, and he has compiled 3.9 bWAR over 87 innings.
Brewers’ shared honor
The co-honors give Milwaukee a rare weekly sweep of its own. Chourio and Misiorowski are both trending toward the All-Star Game in Philadelphia next month, and their latest awards arrive with the Brewers getting impact production from both a hitter and a starter at the same time.
For Chourio, the award is his first at the league level. For Misiorowski, it is his second this season after his first Player of the Week nod in the final week of May, and the Brewers now have the franchise distinction of producing a duo that shared the weekly award.
