Jhon Duran Leaves Zenit as Galatasaray Deal Nears

Zenit has ended jhon duran’s loan, and the Colombian striker is now reported to have reached an agreement with Galatasaray. The move clears the way for another change in Turkey after his earlier loan spell at Fenerbahçe and his later stay in Saint Petersburg.

Zenit said the loan contract between the club and Al-Nassr had come to an end. Durán will now have to report to Al-Nassr offices to define his future, even as Galatasaray prepares to add him on loan and pay five million euros per season.

Zenit ends the loan

“Oficialmente: Jhon Durán deja el Zenit,” the club wrote, adding that “El contrato de cesión entre los azul-blanco-azules y el club Al-Nassr ha llegado a su fin. El Zenit desea al delantero éxitos en el campo de fútbol y más allá de él.”

That exit closes one short stay and puts the decision back in Al-Nassr’s hands. Durán remains under contract with the Saudi club until 2030, so the next move has to fit inside that deal rather than outside it.

Galatasaray and the striker

Ajansspor reported that Galatasaray had reached an agreement with Durán to strengthen its attack. The reported move would send him to another Turkish club after he played on loan for Fenerbahçe in 2025, accepted a lower salary to sign there, and later went to Zenit with Wilmar Barrios.

“Galatasaray ha llegado a un acuerdo con Jhon Durán para reforzar su delantera. El conjunto amarillo-rojo se prepara para incorporar al delantero colombiano a su plantilla en calidad de cedido, y se rumorea que el traspaso podría anunciarse oficialmente pronto,” the report said. Galatasaray would also include a special clause in the deal because of the extradeportive problems he had at Fenerbahçe and Zenit.

Durán was in Medellín on vacation while the negotiations advanced. He was also left out of the Colombia squad for the 2026 World Cup, so the club move arrives while his international position and club future are both in flux.

For Galatasaray, the reported loan would bring in a striker who already knows the Turkish league and is tied to a long-term Al-Nassr contract. For Durán, the next step depends on the paperwork around that contract and the club decision that follows at Al-Nassr offices.
