Million Dollar Nannies premiered today on Hulu and Freeform, putting eight nannies in Ibiza as they try to launch a luxury boutique childcare agency from scratch. Leah Barrs, a co-star and former nanny for Kourtney Kardashian, says the work can reach far beyond child care and into calendars, travel, and constant availability.
Barrs said high-profile nannying meant “I was doing doctors appointments, school events — keeping track of calendars. Not only the parents’ schedules but the kid’s schedules, closet organization. Travel.” She also said, “So much goes into being a high-profile nanny,” describing a job built around strict privacy agreements, extensive background checks, and near-constant updates to wealthy parents.

Barrs said her path into that work began after she dropped out of college in her 20s and moved to Los Angeles without a plan. Her pastor at The Way LA connected her with Kourtney Kardashian, who needed a nanny, and Barrs later cared for Kardashian’s three children with Scott Disick: Mason, Penelope, and Reign Disick.
She said the role went beyond ordinary child care. Barrs described getting the children to and from school, prepping snacks, and shielding them from paparazzi. She also said, “It was beyond nannying,” after working for the family.
Jack McCann in Paris
The series also follows Jack McCann, who said he flew via private jet to Paris to babysit while his bosses attended a Valentino fashion show. He said, “It was their normal,” and later described the caviar tasting that followed as an “out of body experience.”
McCann added that he was once put against another manny for a family in Ibiza and was asked to spray-tan a dad during the interview. “It was definitely out of my comfort zone … I never had to spray tan even my closest girlfriends — it was jarring to do with men in Speedos standing right in front of me,” he said.

Olivia McMahon said she chartered a jet from Miami to Mykonos, Greece, in 24 hours for a family she worked for. She said she had to assemble a crew, arrange fuel for the plane, and figure out hotels and staffing abroad in that window.
Leah Barrs said she used the #NannyTok network, which has more than 32,000 posts on TikTok, to find other nannies and mannies for her agency. The show’s premise points to the same pressure that runs through the cast’s stories: private travel, strict rules, and work that does not stop when the children go to bed.
