Parklife Gates and Entry Times

More than 80,000 people were expected to attend across Saturday and Sunday, concentrating travel and access pressure around the two public gates and the festival timetable.

On Saturday, gates opened from 12:00 until 23:00 BST; on Sunday, gates opened from 13:00 to 23:00 BST, and last entry into Parklife on both days was 17:00. Organisers advised people to plan their journeys to and from the event ahead of time.

On Sunday, gates opened from 13:00 to 23:00 BST and Calvin Harris was scheduled as the headline performer for the night, closing the weekend's bill. Sammy Virji, Skepta and Zara Larsson were among the other named acts on the line-up, with Chris Stussy, Josh Baker, Nia Archives and Kettama also listed for the weekend.

Lineup information for the weekend was available on the Parklife App and the event was presented as a non-camping festival at Heaton Park.

Heaton Park Access Routes

Festivalgoers were told to arrive between 11:00 and 12:00, yet last entry on both days remained 17:00 and re-entry after leaving the festival site was not allowed, creating a scheduling squeeze for anyone planning late arrival or short departures.

The site sits around five miles north of Manchester city centre; walking from the centre to the site takes around 50 minutes. Pedestrian access was signposted along Bury Old Road and the two main public entry and exit gates were the West Gate on Bury Old Road and the East Gate on Sheepfoot Lane.

No one under the age of 17 was permitted to attend without a responsible guardian aged 18 or over. Attendees should therefore plan to arrive well before the 17:00 last-entry cutoff, choose either the West Gate or East Gate for arrival and departure, and treat leaving the site as a final decision for the day since re-entry was not permitted.
