Jen Affleck is expecting baby No. 4 with Zac Affleck, and she chose June 18 to make the news public with a carousel of Instagram photos that showed off her baby bump. Her caption was short and pointed: “Chapter Four. 🤍”
The announcement lands on a family that already includes three children, Nora, Lucas and Penny, making this the Afflecks’ fastest expansion yet. Nora is 4, Lucas is 2 and Penny is 11 months old, so the new baby will arrive in a household that is still in the thick of early childhood.
Jen is 27 and Zac is 29, and their relationship has been public for years. They met on Mutual in 2018 and married the following year, then built a life that has been documented in pieces both online and on TV. That background is part of why the pregnancy drew attention immediately: when Jen posts about a new chapter, people do not have to guess what she means.
Just two months earlier, some fans were already reading too much into her marriage after she appeared without her wedding ring in a tearful TikTok video tied to that same “next chapter” language. In an April post, she said that “in the last two to three years, so much has happened,” and listed everything from two babies to moving, identity, faith and a life crisis. She also said she got married at 19, became pregnant a year later and never had time to figure out who Jen is.
That is the friction running under this announcement. Jen and Zac have been open about rough patches before, including a brief separation shown in season 2 of Mormon Wives, and Jen said in May 2025 that they had gone through a great deal of therapy, including eight hours a week. She said the work was hard, but that it helped them get through the show and, more importantly, helped them get through the marriage.
So the new baby is not just a family update. It is proof that the couple is still together and still growing, even after a stretch of public doubt. What Jen did not say on June 18 is just as telling: how far along she is, or when baby No. 4 is due. For now, the only thing she has made clear is that chapter four has already begun.
