GTA VI pre-orders open 25 June as Rockstar keeps price secret

GTA VI will be available to pre-order on 25 June, giving Rockstar's next release its first clear sales date before it lands on 19 November. The game will arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, but the price is still being held back.

That matters because the search around GTA VI is now about more than trailers and delays. The game is already scheduled, pre-sales are about to begin, and players want to know whether Rockstar and Take-Two will finally put a number on what could be one of the year's biggest launches. Analysts have even suggested it could be the first game priced at $100, though that remains only speculation for now.

Lucia is at the centre of why the game continues to draw attention. She will be the first ever playable female protagonist in a 3D setting, and she appears alongside Jason in a story built around a Bonnie and Clyde-style run after an easy score goes wrong. Rockstar is bringing the series back to Leonida, its version of Florida, with Vice City as the main city in the game.

The release date is being treated as nearly locked in even after GTA VI was delayed twice before, first from autumn 2025 and then from May 2026. Rockstar said the extra time was needed to finish the game with the level of polish fans had come to expect and deserve, and that wording now hangs over the schedule like a promise as much as an explanation.

What remains unresolved is the part that will shape the opening of pre-orders on 25 June: the price. Rockstar and Take-Two have still not revealed it, and they have not said whether GTA VI will come to Nintendo Switch 2 or when a PC version might arrive. For now, the clearest answer is also the simplest one — the game is up for sale next month, and the cost is still the mystery.
