The 29-year-old ended last season with 10 goals and seven assists in 36 Premier League games under Marco Silva. Fulham have offered him a new deal, but Leeds United are still the club tied most tightly to this market move after coming close to landing him last summer.
Fulham pulled the plug on the move at the eleventh hour then, and a January deadline-day push from Elland Road also fell through for the same reason. Wilson has now asked to see who gets the Fulham manager job first, which leaves his next step tied to a club decision as much as a personal one.

Ethan Ampadu, now club captain at Leeds, has been talking up the place to Wales teammates, saying: "[I'm] trying to sell it to everyone," "It’s a pretty easy sell. Everyone knows how special a place Leeds is." and "But whenever we get asked how our time is at Leeds, when we’re with Wales, we speak about it so glowingly." That pitch matters because Wilson is at the point where one contract offer, one manager appointment, and one market signal are all pulling in different directions.
What Wilson chooses next is the piece still hanging over the story, and the betting suspension suggests the answer may come quickly rather than drift into the summer.
