Donald Trump posted on Truth Social on the eve of Father’s Day with a photo of a woman he called a “great daughter.” Online sleuths identified the woman as Margo Catsimatidis, who is not one of his daughters.
Trump wrote, “Great daughter. My Honor!!! President DJT.” The woman in the image was neither Ivanka nor Tiffany, and the post sent readers straight into the mismatch between the caption and the face in the photo.
Margo Catsimatidis and John Catsimatidis
Margo Catsimatidis is the wife of John Catsimatidis, and he is a billionaire retail mogul and Trump ally. Andrea Catsimatidis is their daughter, and she is 36 and chairwoman of the Manhattan Republican Party.
Andrea Catsimatidis married Christopher Cox Nixon in 2011, and they filed for divorce in 2014. said they met in 2008 when she was a 17-year-old high school senior just “five days shy of her 18th birthday.”
Camp David and April
The photo was likely taken at Camp David during the Clinton administration, which makes the image older than the Father’s Day post that revived it. Trump also posted 861 times in the previous month, averaging 27 posts per day, after posting at an average of 18 times a day in April and 47 times in a 31-minute period on June 2.
The White House did not respond to repeated requests for clarity on the post, so the immediate question is whether the caption came from Trump himself or from someone posting for him.
Truth Social and DJT
That gap matters because Arieh Kovler captured the basic problem in real time, writing, “he must have told some staffer to post this and nobody queried it or told him ‘that’s not your daughter.’” Chris LaBossiere put it more bluntly: “He thinks this is Tiffany. Bank on it. America needs to have a family meeting with grandpa.”
Another user wrote, “Nothing to see here. Just the President of the United States actively sundowning in real time for the entire world to see.” Another asked, “What in the name of dementia is going on here?” Those reactions show why a single Truth Social caption can become a wider story about control, accuracy, and who is actually sending the posts.
What Trump intended to say is still the unresolved part, and the photo’s age only deepens the confusion around why he paired “Great daughter. My Honor!!! President DJT” with Margo Catsimatidis instead of Ivanka or Tiffany.
