Little Caesars Spider-Man pizza starts at participating locations on June 22, turning the Webberoni Pizza into a limited-time tie-in with Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The chain is leaning on a simple retail play: a low-ticket menu item, branded packaging and a collectible add-on that can drive repeat visits before the film opens July 31.

The Webberoni Pizza is priced at $8.99 and comes topped with a toasted two-cheese blend and shredded pepperoni arranged to resemble a spider's web. Greg Hamilton said, "Our goal is to connect with consumers in cultural moments and areas where they are passionate," and added, "We're thrilled to work with Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Brand New Day this summer to bring the world's favorite superhero into our stores and homes across the country, creating a unique pizza occasion the entire family can enjoy."

Spider-Man-branded packaging rolls out across Little Caesars locations on June 22, and the promotion is built for walk-in traffic. The Webberoni Pizza is available as a HOT-N-READY option, while online customers can pay extra to have the shredded pepperoni and cheese web applied to a different pie, a split that gives the chain two different purchase paths from the same campaign.

Brooklyn's Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse will host a one-day Little Caesars pop-up on June 27 from 1 to 8 p.m. ET, where attendees can step inside a recreation of Peter Parker's apartment for photo opportunities and sample the Webberoni Pizza. Beginning July 6, each Webberoni Pizza transaction comes with a limited-edition poster, with three different designs cycling through participating locations on a weekly basis while quantities hold out.

Jeffrey Godsick said, "Spider-Man is known for its explosive action, humor and fun, and collaborating with Little Caesars, a brand recognized for its bold voice and playful spirit, on Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a natural fit,". Little Caesars says it operates in all 50 U.S. states and more than 30 countries and territories, which gives the promotion reach well beyond a single market, and the campaign will also include a promotional commercial directed by Greg Bell before Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters July 31.
