The Chicago Bears’ NFL schedule this week puts a Week 3 Monday Night Football game at Soldier Field on the board in 2026. The Philadelphia Eagles are the opponent. For Chicago, it is an early prime-time check against a team it beat 24-15 on Black Friday last season.
Kyle Monangai After 281 Yards
That Black Friday win came with 281 rushing yards from the Bears. Kyle Monangai carried 22 times for 130 yards and a rushing touchdown, while D’Andre Swift added 18 attempts for 125 rushing yards and another score. Caleb Williams completed 17 of 36 passes for 154 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.
Williams’ touchdown went to Cole Kmet with 6:19 left in the fourth quarter, and the Bears led 24-9 after that strike. The game never turned into a passing duel. Chicago controlled it on the ground, and the Week 3 meeting gives Ben Johnson another chance to lean on that part of the offense under the lights at Soldier Field.
A.J. Brown, Makai Lemon, Jonathan Greenard
The Eagles enter with a different look than the one Chicago saw last season. A.J. Brown, who caught 10 passes for 132 yards and two touchdowns against the Bears, is gone to the New England Patriots. Philadelphia used the 20th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on Makai Lemon, who had 79 catches for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns for USC. Lemon also had seven catches for 34 yards and two touchdowns against Dillon Thieneman in 2025.
Jonathan Greenard is in after the Eagles sent two third-round picks to the Minnesota Vikings. He brought 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and 16 total tackles in five games against the Bears. Around him, Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, Nolan Smith Jr., Jalyx Hunt and Moro Ojomo give Philadelphia a front that looks built to pressure Caleb Williams before he can settle into rhythm.
That is the real edge in this Week 3 matchup. Chicago has already shown it can run through Philadelphia, but the Eagles have rebuilt pieces on both sides, and the rematch arrives in prime time at Soldier Field before the season is even fully underway.
